Wrapping antique kimono into Tatoushi (traditional paper wrappers for kimono and obi) storage case.
I've filmed this video while visiting Yulia-an antique kimono shop owner and person who appreciates Japanese culture as much as I do myself.Yulia has shown me her beautiful kimono collection and has wrapped one of its pieces to send it to the customer. I thought I'd share this process with you guys as it's absolutely amazing and captivating, yet really simple.
Here are some facts on how to take care of your kimono:
-Fold your kimono properly and store it in a dark, dry location.
-Do n’t store your kimono on a hanger for more than few days, it can change the garment's natural shape.
-Best use tatoushi for your kimono storage
Hope you will like this video guys.If you do, please give it a thumbs up and consider subscribing, I really appreciate your support!
